About the Event

Have you ever wondered how a daily meditation practice might impact your physical/mental health, stress levels, general well-being and day to day life?

Most of us are likely at least tangentially familiar with the scientific research that links meditation to all kinds of positive benefits--stress/anxiety relief, enhanced empathy and cognition, improvements in emotional and even physical health, etc.  Most of us likely know that we "should probably" meditate.  And yet, for many of us, meditation remains mystifying and intimidating!

Myself included.  Meditation has always been a struggle for me.  And I have taken a bit of an unintended hiatus as of late from weaving the practice into my life in an intentional way.  So as I recommit to my own practice of Dhyana, I invite you to join me.

As a person who has struggled with meditation myself, I am looking forward to sharing with you some of the mindset shifts as well as techniques that I've encountered over the years that have made meditation feel more accessible and sustainable to me.  And then, I will simply hold space as we slowly build towards a more robust daily practice together.

Here are all the important details:

When: May 2-May 27, Monday-Friday, 12:00-12:30 PM CT

Where: Live on Zoom.  You will receive the Zoom link in your confirmation email upon registration. The Zoom link will be the same for each session!

Replays: Can't make the live time?  You can still participate fully in this immersion!  I will upload a recording in the afternoons after each session.  You can watch each recording at a time that works best for you and even "catch up" over the weekends.  You'll have access to all recordings for the entire month of June as well.

Curriculum:

  • Week 1: I will share a new meditation technique each day. There will be time for an introduction of the technique, as well as discussion, reflection, and questions. Daily meditation length: 7 minutes.
  • Week 2: We will briefly review each meditation technique and continue to discuss, share and reflect. Daily meditation length: 12 minutes.
  • Week 3: I will simply hold space each day for all of us to show up to our daily practice, utilizing whatever method/technique feels best for each individual! I'll provide a brief centering exercise and keep time. Daily meditation length: 17 minutes.
  • Week 4: I will simply hold space each day for all of us to show up to our daily practice, utilizing whatever method/technique feels best for each individual! I'll share a brief centering exercise and keep time. Daily meditation length: 22 minutes.

Investment:  Sliding Scale based on your budget - $20, $40 or $60 for the whole month.  Free for Yoga With Dena Members!  Want to join YWD for a month and take advantage of unlimited live and recorded classes in addition to your Meditation Immersion?  Be my guest!
