I have been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over 15 years, initially discovering the practice as a means to relieve stress and anxiety. Yoga connects me more deeply to my physical, emotional and spiritual self, which allows me to live more intentionally, treat others with more kindness, and make decisions from a place of love and authenticity.
I received my 200 hour teacher certification in 2016 through Wild Lotus Yoga in New Orleans under the guidance of Sean Johnson and Mitchel Bleier. I continue to develop as a teacher and practicioner by studying many styles with many influential teachers, but primarily the Bowspring Method with Desi Springer and John Friend.
In my classes, I encourage students to move mindfully and intuitively, to approach each practice with curiosity and playfulness, to coordinate movement with breath, and to find connections between practice on the mat and practice out in the world.
